Meet The Chickens
Meet some of the "happy hens". Without the hens there would be no pysanky. All of my egg shells come from my hens. Each hen has her own story and personality. We do not kill any of our chickens and have a sort of chicken sanctuary here with almost 300 residents. Many of the chickens have been injured or abused in some way and found their way here where they have a permanent happy home with us. Many are rescues/rejects from cockfighting operations. Proceeds from pysanky sales go towards upkeep, care and maintenance of the resident chickens. Perhaps you have purchased or received one of their personalized eggs.
